Maui is a very sweet, very tiny, baby ball python.  He is reported to be about 5 months old when we got him in Dec 25, and we say "he" but we aren't sure and the vet reported he is still too young to gender.  He is easy to handle and does fine with kids of all ages.  He is unbothered by the cats and dogs in his foster home as well.   It took a while but we finally got him eating, (F/T pinky mice), and he still needs to put on some weight due to how long he went refusing food.  His next home will have to be very cautious about his environment and also make sure they stay on top of his feedings so he can continue to gain that weight back and get a better body condition.  He doesn't 'need much space now, a 20 gal tank would suffice, but as he grows he will need a much larger tank and ball python's can live 20-30 years, so Maui will be a long term companion and commitment.  Luckily ball pythons are quiet and pretty easy going.
