Meet Javier - The sweetest senior snuggle buddy you will ever meet!  Looking for a loyal, low-key companion who just wants a cozy spot, some gentle pets, and to be your best friend?  Meet Javier, a 10 year old schnauzer with a heart as soft as his favorite blanket.  Weighing in at 21 pounds, he moves at a more relaxed pace and has a few age spots.  Javier would thrive in a quiet home with adults or teenagers where he can soak up all the attention (and trust us, he deserves it)!  He enjoys his comfy beds, soft bones, and cozy crate time, especially when treats are involved.  He's also a dream to travel with and loves car rides.  While he may need a moment to warm up to new guests, once he's comfortable, he'll gently nudge for those cherished head scratches.  He walks nicely on a leash, loves a relaxing bath (he might even doze off), and is happy to just be by your side.  He knows how to sit, stay, paw, down, and beg pretty.  He gets along well with other dogs and is still willing to play, although he is not a treat/toy sharing guy.  Javier isn't a fan of having his paws handled, his groomer says that's classic schnauzer, but he's a trooper overall and always tries his best.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
